Australian Milliner Wendy White is from Rockhampton, Queensland. Bush Buddies was first established in 2000. I was designing and making fabric hats for Markets and shows around Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. In 2004 I was introduced to millinery as a art form and here is where my real walk in millinery began and well the rest is histroy!

Today Bush Buddies no longer has to do shows but trades from its shop front in Rockhampton and over the net. Though its website and ebay site Bush Buddies has built a wonderful client base with client from all around Australia and the World. My shop is open 5 and half days a week to the public and 24/7 online. So please if you a coming though Rockhampton, do drop in.

I have in the past few year put my work and design skills as a milliner out there to be judged by my peers, with some great out comes. In 2008 and 2009 I was Awarded the "Hatty Award" from the Hatlife in The USA for dedication and innovation to the Headwear industry. I made the final 14 designers for the UK Hat Designer of the year 2010 out of a feild of over 50 designers from all over the World .

Over the past 6 year i have had many clients win fashion on the feilds and the millinery award at local race days here in Rockhampton and all over Australia .I am always delighted to hear the excitment and feedback from my clients win and also to hear how many great comments they get about their over all look and their outstanding headwear. (remember when it come to dressing for the races it is not about the dress or about the hat it is about the whole look from head to toe, it must all tell a story)

Next to my family, hats are my life as to Quote the Hatlife "The passion that hatters have for the trade is unparalleled by almost any other industry .......with passion breeds excellence." I am always designing something new and exciting from casual fabric to over the top racewear, from bridal to old world bonnets. My love for the millinery shows and i get great joy when i finish a peice off, to make something out of nothing is a great spin.

I source materials from all over the World and sometime spend hours looking for the right piece to finish a headpiece or hat off. Everything i create is unquie and as individual as the people who wear them, With quality and line in the design as a important key factor.
